Hi guys! I'm Omar from Italy and I'll start that project thread about my Yellow 306 Cabriolet (Roadster in UK).

It Mounts 2.0 16v engine with 132hp (xu10j4r) with 5 speed gear box, front bumper like the gti-6 with round fog lights, cyclones and full leather interior, electrical roof and a/c direct from factory.

Yes, I'm italian. Well, at today I'll have this mods:
-Gti-6 inlet manifold with bmc cda;
-Gti-6 exhaust manifold with decat and center box by "CSC Marmitte", a little bit more open then the standard one and the standard backbox;
-D2 Racing Coilovers;
-Tarox G88 discs in front and rear with tarox 112 pads;
-I'll remove the OMP strutbrace because with D2 in normal road it gives disadvantages because the car result too hard to follow the road.

In future I'll have this plans:
-Upgrade the front brakes with 406v6 Brembos (already at my home);
-45mm jenveys with custom airbox and filter (in Italy the police creates problems with louder cars, especially in my zone);
-Piper 285 cams with Piper double valve springs;
-High compression pistons;
-Gasflowed Gti-6 Head;
-16 row oil cooler;
-Emerald K3 or new K6;
-Gti-6 gearbox with quaife ATB (If I'll found one with the forum).

For this time I'll remember this works, if I'll remember anything I'll add to the list.

I'll start to show some pics of my 306:

-When I'll bought it

-After 2 weeks with Angel Eyes and Lexus (Rx-8 style) rear lights

-Hardtop Test and new wheels

-With Carbon wrapped hood (don't ban me for the rallye decals but I'll love that decals and it's the only hope for someone who understands their meaning for not be too stupid against my 306 now and after engine works Smile )

-A little position test with Jenveys before re-fit gti6 inlet

Yes, four years passed, but still work on this project. Too much time waste in little things and little money problems slow down my project but now really happy with my car back on the street Smile Mapped and rolled 194bhp and 204nm with injectors at their limit (in future go to change that) and some issues with sealed airbox air catch.

Nice engine, that is an interesting engine cover you have fitted.
Are you running an idle control valve, i can see the extra air tubes on each throttle.

The engine cover it's a 1.6hdi modified for cover the bodies to the police eyes, because here in Italy it's not legal run with modified car, someone make noise for the lamps you use in you headlight. Yes, I'll make the tube link for the control valve but I didn't fit it beacuse for this moment the car idle at cold at around 600 rpm without problems and at about 850 when it's hot. This summer I'll probably fit the control valve (a classical 2 wire pwm valve from rover engine) for compensate the A/C, I'll test it and when on the car loose about 300 rpm and probably make problems with cold engine.

My engine is running too slowly when cold and will idle at 1000 RPM when warmed up. So need a way of speeding up the idle when cold. I don't have the extra idle holes on my Jenvey throttle bodies, unless i drill holes into it.
Didn't know the law was so strict in Italy.

Especially in my zone the are some checks for loud or showy cars. You don't have the holes for idle valve on your Jenveys? You have to try make little holes (like 2mm) near the injectors like my ones, you can idle up by 200-250 rpm
