could be bent mounting bolts or lugs.

Just out of interest, do your discs have the small locating grub screws? Sounds crazy, as I know the wheel nuts should be holding everything together, but just wondering as I've noticed something myself with these...

As for uneven pad contact, I would also check that the pistons, particularly on that side it would be the smaller one at the top, are clean and moving freely.

Check the calipers are sitting flush on the mounts and not on a bit of rust, etc. Tend to get that when they're not set square.

reasonable suggestions! the short drive shaft (passenger side) is a reasonably new one from a local iirc
and theres little of no wobble through steering wheel or gear stick when accelerating atm

bolts have been on and off a few times, its just 406 coupe brembos bolted straight on
never really looked at the bolts

Hmm

i do have the locating grub screw, i only put one of them in, just so am not arsing around taking wheels on and off trying to get everything to line up. I never tighten them up too much as I have had issues getting them out in the past

had the said calliper off last night, pistons came out quiet nicely and callipers are in very good nick

I squeezed them onto a block of wood, cleaned everything up and re-bled the passenger side calliper

If a disc warps and is driven for even a short distance the pads take on an uneven shape.

Replacing the warped disc and using the same pads will warp a new disc in very little time.

Even if the pad is slightly uneven the pressure exerted by the pads and heat generated by the discs is enough to warp.

anyone tell me if there is any reason why i should be my old discs machined straight? they might not actually be badly out of shape, but I can get it done at work very accurately

these discs are barely 2000 mile old iirc

I have bought new pads
