Pretty sure they have only just been released mate, More of a track/road tyre than a road tyre by the looks of it.

I've used R1R's for a track day at Cadwell Park in the dry. Seemed very grippy, but soon overheated. Look to have a high wear rate, but think they will be good in the wet and that's what I am going to use them for.

I'm running Federal 595 RS-R's and they are brilliant on track. Did a track day on Monday and they survived a 45 min stint out on track without going off or overheating, and they seem to last well as well, did around 80 laps of Anglesey and there is still loads left on them.

Very Very grippy, and brilliant for the price. I've ran R888's before, and can't really tell a massive difference between the 2 tyres to be honest!

LOL at this thread. Damn Chris, you're being made to work for some answers here!

Keep up the good work. I'd also be quite interested to know what they like, maybe people can keep posting up other irrelevant things.

I've got a steel spare in my garage, doesn't seem to have affected handling on trackdays too much.

Appologies for the thread revival here.

Anyone got a verdict on these as a track tyre?
