Going to remove the ball joints on my 6 but notice the 3 fasteners holding the ball joint to the wishbone are odd, Like rivets. Not torx or a normal allen key or spanner fittment!

What are they and how do I get them off! Are they just rivets?

Could I cut them off and just replace with bolts?

The car is a phase 2.

Pretty common these days, cheaper and lighter than bolts

gring the heads off them and then drift out the rivit, replace with a good quality m10 bolt, or just buy some used oe wishbones as they have bolt on ball joint and will be of a higher quality, will also have exactly correct dimensions
