Does look very nice that set up but i have been supercharged for over two years and my boost pipes go under the rad and have never had a problem with speed bumps etc, in fact have never had a problem with the boost pipes at all and they are scrape free Smile

mines piped up 53mm on charger side and 63mm on manifold side of intercooler, only way it will go thru available space between bottom hose and expansion tank is to remove bottom hose, cut the rubber near fitting, put in a joiner and rotate thru 90 degrees so plastic clip faces forward, you then have a couple of mm clearance on a 53mm hard pipe, not using carls, made my own, been on and no probs since august, and ive still got air con + leccy steering Thumbs up

This is why we refuse to supply intercoolers with pre-fabbed boost pipework - they never fit properly.

Believe it or not, every car is slightly different.

Component locations differ slightly from car to car, and there's not room for error - the only way to get the perfect fit is to fabricate the pipework on the car.

It's time consuming as you have to mount it all, trim the pipes as required section by section, take it off and weld it one step at a time, then keep repeating the process until it's finished. But it will all fit properly at the end of it Yes

Have you taken the aircon rad and standard fans out? There are big gaps either side of the rad.

i did ring carl during the day twice but he was busy and told me to ring back at 6.well i was 2miles away in middle of no where with my car in bits and carl couldnt help me out, he had work to do.. Am i not a customer? Dunno Blink

Anyway.. so i carried on, baffled how it was going to fit corectly without any modification, which i'm pretty sure thats what it said it would fit like in the forsale thread. I had to fit under the radhose. Which was a complete prick to do.My rad is now raised 2" on one side and the rad hose a bit squashed. I hope somebody could help me out and post any pics with carls setup fitted please.

Sorry, I saw some quite large holes and didn't know how far you had got on the installation.

i finished it that day, as all i had to fit was the intercooler and the oil cooler. There is just enough room on the right but no room at all on left to fit a 50mm pipe. im using a nissens rad so it should fit, right??

You're doing better than me amte. I couldn't get my f*cking intercooler to fit because I am leaving my aircon pump to get it to lynx.

Have mate but they are on my phone and i still cant get them on my laptop. My blue tooth is f*cked up!

I think i may need a different radiator, i have a nissens rad but it is slightly different to my std rad, The setup doesn't fit very well with my nissens rad but i reckon if i used my std rad then it would fit properly.

My problem is that the on the nissens rad the expansion tank is to long, resulting in the IC pipework not being able to pass through between that and the bottom hose.

But on my standard rad the expansion tank is slightly shorter so i think it would pass through the gap.

Can i get a nissens exactly the same as standard???

Just seen this, Steve you still not got it fitted?

I have this fitted on a car outside with the standard Valeo rad and it fits perfect, there are now ten cars out there with this setup and never had a problem, my rallye has a nissens rad now also.

Pete from the site fitted his own too.

Give me a call i will help you out, you rang me on a day that was bedlem, i will help where i can but its hard over the phone as i cant see what you are doing.

Are you local? I have a car in the garage at the minute for this to be fitted, i will take some fitting pictures for you all.

A few pictures that may help-

And on a xsara, these use the same pipes etc-

It had a cg cars jet wash but yes a lovely car none the less, and a chap who loves it to bits so gets all polished and pampered.

No as it has the later ecu, more tricky and the l4 emissions standards, two lambdas, the three plugged ecu unit, it was done by superchips, not as simple as you may think, alot of head scratching and time in the garage at home.

Slight differences to the wiring, during the process-
