Hi,

Searched the forum about these FSE boost valves. Found a lot of info on running these with standard setup, ie the concensus is its poinltess.

I have an ITB kit but it doesnt have a fuel pressure regulator on it, presuming the standard one will have to come off when the new manifold and bodies are fitted, would the FSE boot valve work well?

Cheers
Will

jenvey and colin satchel, as well as weber IIRC do a housing to accept the standard top hat style FPR.

Got this reply from Jenvey when i emailed them about it:

"The RH01 adapter we do is 39gbp"

RH01 = Jenvey Part Number.

This is for the housing for the standard fuel pressure regulator.

Ive asked this before and have been told that fse are shit. the standard one will do the job fine. the high boost guys use the standard one on the supercharge set up so i think they should be fine for ITB's. also have been told that if 3 bar isnt enough that VW do one that is rated at 4 bar and fits just like the standard.

Please, for the love of god, stick with the OE type capsule regs! The single most common cause I see of maps going off, is a dodgy FSE or similar adjustable reg. They just aren't stable enough over time and temperature.

Yeah, mine is just an adapter so that you can use the standard top hat style fuel pressure reg instead of buying a completly new fuel pressure reg.

Cool, will keep that in mind next time I upload a pic to photobucket.

I did wonder when I was uploading it whether linking a picture of such magnitude would crash the forum Whistle

Just found this after doing a search, it exactly what i have been experiencing with my FSE after a less than a year of use.
I have left the pressure guage on there as it varies so much. One day it is 42.5, another day its gone up to 50, i re adjust it down to 42.5 and hey presto, another day its sitting at 30Psi.

Saw the adapter that Jenvey do for the original capsule, will probably go for one of those.
