Hi everyone, i've just fitted a new pair of droplinks as my old ones were shagged. It was knocking a bit before, but now it makes an awful noise as your driving a 15mph or less. Can hear it when pulling up to junctions and setting off. It sounds like something just isnt working right.

They are metal ones opposed to the plastic ones. They fit straight in and everything appeared to be fine. So where is this bloody noise coming from?! If anyone can help me i'd appreciate it so much as i've got to pick the missus up tomorrow from the airport! Cheers lads Smile

p.s. i've had a bit of a search but can't find what i'm looking for.

Nah it was on a ramp with the front end lifted. I think i'll take them off and re-fit. Even though I can't see it making a difference.

Try putting a jack under the droplink so that it is under load, and then tighten them up.

That's how I did mine and they haven't made any noise since.

its hard to describe. Its like somethings catching or its seized and not moving freely. just doesn't sound like the mechanism's working correctly.

On my 205 the anti roll bar had moved slightly to one side which meant it touched the wishbone, you haven't moved the ARB slightly when you fitted them have you?
