When my mate had it, it use to have two 6" exhausts one each side.
He got it when all the stuff was already on in.
looks like the owner after him changed the exhaust and added some stickers.

Did it still have the 270 cams and longmans head?

Dont think you have mentioned it, but please could you post a rough price on what in cost in parts for the engine build, obviously there was no labour cost. Well tempted to start saving for a DIY High comp build.

internals cost about 900
machining cost 270
then there is things that get replaced as the engine is out like clutch cambelt gearbox fork bushes full gasket kits all the fluids and so on its a rough estimate but for the engine alone its about 1500 then there is the need for a remap. Crazy

Just a quick update realy spent a bit of time on the car today as a few issues still needed to be fixed.
i managed to sort out the fuel pump priming issue along with the battery warning light coming on now and again (only faint) and the whole kangaroo petrol thing which would happen now and again. it turned out to be the possitive feed to the alternator was loose Doh.
dropped out the 90 mile old fuel and noticed it was a bit thin after a good old sniff realised it smelt v-v petrol like so the car is now getting a remap as soon as possible as its running far too rich.
i even found a bit of time to give the car a clean looks imo great although someone did say
"you do realise you can't polish a terd"
thought that was quite funny
LOL
