Yep im another newbee and here's the story.
i had a blaze gti 6 a year ago with huge plans of track days and lots of lift off oversteer..... and then after a while the car got a tappet noise and got worse and worse i was too worried to get it fixed as cost was going to be quite steep so without any thought i sold her.
now here i am a year later and i got another blaze 6 and guess what........... its another duffer lol had a huge bottom end knock and i knew this when i brought it.
so heres the plan a full rebuild with lots of help from chris maybe daveyboy Roll eyes the engine is having a high compression set of pistons thanks to rich w.along with uprated everything bottem end bearings gugeon pins lightened flywheel and so on.
i dont no where this project is going yet but i want speed and reliability without breaking the bank and without going supercharged so im open to coool ideas. beginning pics to follow a bit later

I guess cams/ Throttle bodies will get you gains, but they are pretty good as standard. Work out what you will be using the car for, and watch out for competition limitations.

So who is going to own up to sending a set of rods to the engineers to be checked/repaired without any nuts to torque the bloody things up!
