Not recently, i have just been saving to buy parts ect for the rebuild but we are moving house in the next few months so am having to put the engine in the car untill after the move when it will then be carried on. Was hoing to have it done before the new year but will be set back afew months now but will keep you updated as and when.

I only stripped it because the AUX belt pulley snapped sending it into the Cambelt a week after id had nearly 1k of head work done. Otherwise id still be going ahead as planned. Truly gutted as i was really loving it as it was, Iv got the turbo sat in a box for it just need a use got it now.

I only got the Hdi estate as i needed a car the next day and that was cheap and close to collect straight away, i do still think about getting another engine but cant drive now so no point

Yep had cambelt cover on but the AUX belt has worn thought it along the bottom, Just as i set off from the traffic lights boom, gone

I said i'd keep an eye on this thread but i forgot LOL

I can totally understand how this could be good, i mean how many touring cars nowadays are based on 5 door chassis!

If set up right with enough thought put into making it handle really well it could be great!

I'll be keeping a keen eye on this thread in the next few months LOL Roll eyes
