Hi, I'm Ivan from Bulgaria
and I am a big fan of GTI6.
there is no forum like yours because there are very few cars of this model 306.
I wannt UPdate my 306 Cabrio 1.6i 8v 2001 year
I have Donor 306 GTI6 2000 year

When you have got a donor car, it's quite easy to change all the parts. On the small pictures i can not see how big the damage is, but you will need some spare parts to buy.

You have luck that both cars are Phase3 and so you do not need to change all the wiring in the car.

Have both Cars the same basics ? A/C, Sideairbags...

i would unlock the ecu before removeing just to make it easier, start engine and remove the ecu, then before fitting the engine cut the wires 820,821,822 on the small plug (engine loom) on the inner wing
