Hi peeps

It was suggested to get a thread going on here, and have managed to find the time to do just that, apologies for not being a 3, I am sure I can make up for it, lol Big grin

Aiming for 720-740kg fully built, equating to just over 400bhp per tonne, its possible, lets wait and see, it weighed in at 612kg last time we checked, so once the engine and box is back in and a few more bits and pieces, we can go from there, allowing 50kg for all the panels, seats and windows, which leaves 50-70kg for everything else that wasnt on the shell when we weighed it, and the majority of the running gear was on, no lines or fittings though.

Anyway here we go frm the beginning . . .

Bruntingthorpe May 2003

December 2006 . . . Road use afer a 3 year break and testing at Santa Pod . . .

March 2007 The Fast Show Santa Pod

April Castle Donnington 2007

Castle Combe 2007

The French Car Show with Preformance French Car June 2007

November 2007 - Strip down . . .

Roof removal (2nd time lol)

Will get up to date pictures together of how she is now on next post Smile

New Build . . .

Current situation:

New input shaft being manufactured for gearbox to suit new EW engine

Driveshafts being manufactured to suit new engine/box installation

Completed inner and outer moulds for replacement door panels, roof mould made, next up end of Jan, moulds for wngs, bumpers and bespoke bonnet

Collected the new Image split rims (PSR range) in 7x17" form with bespoke offset and R888 rubber last Friday (pictures tomorrow)

Once engine & gearbox collected, can re install and then plumb all pipework/aeroquip etc in, then Wizard Race Looms design, build and initially install car looms.

Ordering additional mould making materials and 4x4 twill pre preg carbon for production of panels in the new year.

Create pattern for header tank to mould, mould breather tank (from Mocal design tank), make seats, seat brackets and other sundry bits and pieces, finish mould off for engine cover

Once up and running in full trim, down to Longmans for rolling road session to ensure all cooling, running of engine etc good, final set up, then bring her back for complete bare shell strip down, ready to prep for paint, then build back up, just quickly Smile

Awesome work mate!

What engine is in it? Remembe seeing this on track at FCS '07 and it was just whipping everything else!

2.0 16 valve block from early 206 gti, EW engine code, built by Richard Longman producing 280bhp & 195 lb torque on dyno, perhaps with a few more to come once in the car fully and further mapping completed Smile

yep, that's how Sadev boxes work, they all use a bellhousing adapter, you could fit the same ST75-14 box to a gti6 lump, but only if it was under 196 LBFT, which I think many EW engines are very close to.

Supercharged you'd definitely have to go for the next gearbox up in the range (ST90-14, 350Nm limit),

yes same box, engine produced 192lbft on the dyno with a little more to come we hope

engine is built to a high spec by Richard Longman as used in plenty of cars they have done before, 285bhp peak at 8200rpm i think from memory Smile

Time Attack if we have time, but i think to do it properly we will need to have the car running for a year and test and learn etc, maybe following year i think

i think the st90 box up form the 75 was about
