Hi All, I overtightened my battery negative terminal and it has snapped, can you replace them. Any ideas? Thx

You can replace them as birk said...

The one I replaced was soldered on though so was a bit of a b*tch to remove. we dremeled it off in the end. And replaced with a motor factors battery terminal.

Major thread Bump.

My negative battery terminal has decided to fall to bits. Dry

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to remove it from the wire? How is connected? Would I be better off cutting the wire and then getting a new connection or do I need to replace the whole wire?

I had a look on Servicebox to see if the terminal was available separately but it seems you have to buy the whole cable, which at ~£40 plus VAT seems a bit expensive to me. Blink

Any help would be appreciated. Thumbs up

Get the old one off and get a motor factors terminal which is attached via a clamp.

So did you just cut the wire or does it just pull off?

I took one from a d turbo (i think) in a scrappy's

Twas a tad shorter on the body earth lead though so i just made a new earth point on the bulkhead.

Block to battery was fine.
