when we got back with it last night it was raining and i was tired so i just parked it half on road/drive

then this morning we shuffled the cars about so its now on the drive

i then decided to give the paint a bit of a clean Smile
so out with the meguiars

step1 paint cleaner

step 2 polish

step 3 wax

it started to rain then so only did the 1 panel but here are a few reflection shots

this 1 shows how bad the paint job is the lines are quite deep some even in the primmer and in places the paint is so thin that i dont even think i could get the machine polisher on it so its will have a full re-spray, i had planned to anyway though.

parts i already have to go on it

supercharger kit
group A gear rods
kent vernier pulleys
devil de-cat
magnex system
avo coil overs
tarox 6pots 310mm discs
sparco buckets
pair of 6 point harnesses
sparco wheel boss
16" milla maglia
17" team dynamics pro race 1.2
rallye graphics
de-badged grill
single wiper kit with wash/wipe arm

after market parts that i will need

roll cage
solid rear beam mount
group n engine mount kit
rear shocks
stearing wheel
rear discs pads and lines
upper strut brace

standard parts needed

clutch kit
waterpump
cambelt tensioner kit
pair of wishbones
pair of trackrod ends
pair of drop links
pair of phase 3 headlights (depo) for black masking
set of phase 3 rub strips door and rear wings

Todays work Smile

got the engine in the shed last night so when i got down there this morning i just lifted it out of the trailer removed the gearbox, clutch and flywheel, then had a cuppa.

after a short brake i cleaned up the block and cam covers with a wire wheel and painted red (just as a base for the next colour to site on)
