After reading on Astra Owners Club and Astra Owners Netowork about people changing intake setups to Astra H diesel setups, i thought i do it too, as i liked the look and wanted to start making performance upgrades Smile

I had the car rolling roaded down Cambourne way and it came out at 191bhp which is 6bhp down from standard, but after speaking to a few people they were known to under read apparently :| Im not sure what to beleive as i dont know them like that, and dont want to stir sh*t.

So here was my engine before i started anything on it:

I wanted to remove the crossover pipe ad it basically heated up the air going into the turbo, and the colder the air the better Smile

So here are the bits i bought, new from Vauxhall:

and a Vectra C intake pipe,which i dont have a pic of.

Also a Courtney Sport panel filter for my new airbox and a polished manifold sheild:

And my new Roose Motorsport hoses Smile

Crossover pipe on in that picture ^^

And my new setup all on the car: (Crossover pipe removed)

Car is sh*t high! lol

So had the car Rolling Roaded at AP Motor's for an MVOC RR day Smile

Here is a video:

And the graph:

Made 214.4bhp and 240ft/lbs torque, so im Happy Big grin

Next mod is to sort rocker cover out (powder coat) and then a full Milltek system Smile

Comments welcome

its Camborne not Cambourne and there isn't a RR in Camborne only one in Redruth and St Agnes as far as I am aware...
Richard Bros - Redruth (normally an accurate readout so I hear)
RK Engineering - St Agnes (known to OVER read/exaggerate bhp)

Would of been interesting if you'd taken it back to the same RR.....

Pretty impressive anyhow, allways had a sort spot for the GSi's....Tastey!..Just like the new astra/cosra VXR's!

Are Courtney Sport the tuners in North Walsham, i.e. about 10 miles from where I live?

Always see loads of barried up Corsa B's and such like up there. Laugh

Also, why does the plastic pipe over the top of rocker cover look like it was recycled from a Corsa B's dashboard? I knew I recognised that stodgy crinkled plastic from somewhere.

I adore these things Love

The mod of choice with the Z20LET seems to be the VXR turbo upgrade. Coupled with a the VXR fuel rail, 250bhp+ is easily achievable.

Turn that bit of pipe round and it will look good!

Might have one of these when I need to get a more sensible car!

A friend of a friend has a VXR with an uprated turbo (it's like a bin lid!!!!) and he's running 350+BHP, I love astra turbos, I would have one of these anyday (if I could afford it!)
