devil decat de-boxed magnex mid section with a magnex backbox with a 2inch inward rolled tailpipe welded on.

this is the best sound you can get from a 306 END.

looks like a 106 pugsport and sounds like one too, allbeit alot meatier.

I Love the 106 group N exhaust noise!

I'm thinking of getting someone to fiddle with my exhaust, Magnex centre box is blowing like hell now. Does fitting a different tip affect noise much? Mine's a 3" inward rolled at the minute

the Pugsport with the 2.5" (or 2.75"?) tail does sound quite a bit different, in a good way IMO, been a while since I last heard one mind.

Not sure what bore the exhaust is on mine, think it's a 2.5" but it was on the car when I got it. The tailpipe's a 3" though.

Mines 2.5 all the way from Fanimold to the 2inch tip.

I can't describe how lovely it sounds, it's not boooomy at all, I've tried everything and finally found the sound I wanted,
It's litrally a 106 pugsport sound with the six's umph pushing through it.

I'll get some vids up soon.

DO IT!

Think that might be my solution tbh, a new tip and weld up the centre box.

I have an awful Powerflow thing on my 6 at the moment. It was on it when we bought it, and I think it might have been Cuemanlew's above - it's a big Powerflow that's been welded to the freaking cat.

It's very, very, very boomy. Everything vibrates inside the car. It's a nightmare driving it on the motorway.

One of the loudest and nicest noises I think I've ever heard a car make was when a mate of mine was changing the lambda sensors on his BMW 750i. He had to remove the exhausts from the manifold and we convinced him to start it up. A V12 with no exhaust, flame spitting from the manifolds, sounded a lot like I imagine being attacked by a Spitfire would sound. It was awesome. Big grin
