Oh, and that Atom managed to wreck it's suspension simply by falling off the track, rocker arm can go over centre on the damper, jamming the entire suspension, bending the arms and dropping the car onto it's chassis.Brilliant design there Ariel, you f*ckwits  ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Right finished the doors off today with some gas rams to stop me wearing the rest of the hair off my head whilst getting out, made and fitted the window sliders, took the back frame, exhaust/loom/engine, etc, out to fit a new release bearing as the last one had had enough of 9krpm and was sticking badly.Bolted back together and running now though, (thanks to Trigger for a lift with the engine, the temporary workshop is a big more difficult to lug bits about with given the floor is planings  ), new brake pads and tweaked some of the controls.Altered the front to ride 1" lower and altered the ackerman and camber gain in a hope of getting the turn in more like a car rather than a boat. Another half a days work on friday afternoon then on with the trailer and off to Wickenby at the weekend for the first race of local series. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Damned thing is sticking in 3rd gear now  Think it's got a selector bent, so this weeks challenge is a complete gearbox swap in 4 hours on Friday night... After being given mechanics superfood (bacon butty and a cuppa) we've now got the engine, exhaust, loom, box, radiator, oil cooler, driveshafts, box and linkages out and on the floor...just modifying the 'box ready to go in on Thursday, bit less work to do now!I'm sure we put the engine back in once on Sunday....  ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
