Well apart from all the bits i stripped off when i got back i havent really done anymore to her, i was thinking about getting rid and getting a focus rs (i dont know why but i like them).

Well i soon snapped out of that idea and pulled the old girl out and set about removing the sound system to get the rear light and back bumper removed, once this was off i then removed the side skirts as these had various marks on them and i want them to be repainted anyway, have to say the rivets are a twat to get out without marking the skirts but a bit of gentle moving with a screwdriver and a drill i managed it.

Skirts and bumper off-

After these were removed and i was happy the rest of the car didnt want any paint or further stripping i decided to give it a wash to see what the damage was underneath all the dirt.

With the car washed the back end damage was this-

Looks so much worse in the photo, in real life its not that bad. The back panel not marked at all-

With the skirts removed i washed all the crap and grime out from behind them to reveal this, nice and shiny-

Oh yes looks like the side repeater died aswell, the clips on the back have broke.

Damage to the bonnet-

With the back all stripped i inpected the boot floor etc just in case and was surprised at how clean she still is underneath, the floors normally have alot of surface corrosion but not mine, must be the heated garage she lives in-

Well thats as far as i have got, all the replacement parts are here and i have sorted the painter so in a couple of weeks she should be ready to go back in the garage in one piece again for the winter.

Not quite, the body (rear quarter) and the front wing is done and painted, just got to get the bumpers painted and refitted, just bolt on parts now, the thing is at the minute the car has taken a back seat whilst i sort other things at the garage.

Had to buy a new bonnet in the end as the amount of small creases in it were such it would never be perfect so i bought a brand new one (£150 with my discount), thought that was quite cheap.

I would like to think it will all be sorted just before christmas.

Wohoo picked her up today in a partially built state so i could get the parts back like the bumpers etc.

Here she is fresh at the bodyshop-

Lining her up for the truck-

Here she is on the mot ramp so i can look at the repairs etc, overall well impressed, just the pain now of putting it all back together and find what parts are missing or broken!!

As i am getting on with fitting it up one of the lads from the other garage starting taking the micky and reckons i should take the car to bed with me, he then starts doing this LOL-

The easiest thing to start with was to remove the rear bumper, refit all the wiring for the numper plate lights, refit and then put all the sound system back in, here a dull photo-

Once that was back in i went to the shop and bought some waxoyl to put in all the holes and unseen areas where clips etc are-

Also re did the sill lip along the bottom in some fresh black waxoyl-

Once that was done i refitted the passenger side skirt.

With the skirt fitted i got onto the head lamps and made a decent pair out of all the pieces etc i had acumamlated over the years, sorry to say to most that i once again had a smart pair of morrettes back on the car LOL-

Fitted along with the grill-

She is coming on, just got to wait for a few bits from mr Peugeot and we should be back on the road soon enough.

Carl

Done a little more to the car now and other than a little bit of bumper alignment she is back.

Sent my calipers off to my mate and had them painted red and retrofitted the ap caliper decals and had them over laquered-

Have to say i was impressed with how well they looked.

Also had the ally bells on the brake disc painted in high temp as the ally started to look a bit manky-

Set the wheels off and had them done in black chrome, a bit unsure on how i feel about those but i am sure they will grow on me-

A fully built up wheel and brakes-

I am surprised you can get any soap out of your bucket.
Leave it with me, I'll get you a new one.
