I have just recived a lower strut brace made by PhillipM. Got it off Midlife for £30 It was unpainted. So I primed it and sprayed It up using Red Hammerite. Looks lovely. Love And very well made. Yes

Hopefully I'll get to fit it tomorrow afternoon, If the weather permits. LOL

Are there any noticable gains to be had from a lower brace on 6/rallye?

Well after having a thrash at yesterdays meet. I am quite pleased with the lower brace, the front seams more planted and the steering is more twitchy Dunno I does feel different but hard to explain how. Hmm I can deffo feel the surface of the road more through the steering wheel. So I suppose that means the fronts stiffer. Dunno

Well, took you a few months to fit it LOL
Anyway what's that leak from your gearbox - is it normal? I have the same and when I remove the bulkhead (or whatever it's called) it's all oily Blink . Other thing - is fitting the bulkhead impossible after installing the lower strut brace? I'm thinking of getting a lower strut brace but I don't wanna remove my bulkhead, it's really useful imo Ninja

Don't know if anyone actually checked to see if the undertray fits with the brace on?

the gearbox leak is normal Yes

its the shitty end cap seals for the crank. They need gasket sealant as well.

A bulkhead is a wall, a deckhead is a ceiling and a deck is obviously the floor [/royal navy phrases]

I fitted it before the last scottish meet I just thought i put the pics in the tread. As for fitting the undertray No you would have to do a but of modding. Its to long and bulky to fit under the strutbrace. I'm going to look at making a ally one in the new year.

Sorry to bring up an ancient thread but what is the difference between these single bar ones and the double bar braces?
