I just rang peugeot and they list a engine gasket kit for my car, but it does not include the head gasket, but its 65 quid, what the hell will I get for my money, will I need anything else apart from a head gasket obviuosly, the parts bloke couldnt tdell me what was in the kit, the part number is 197w2

It looks like a kit of different gaskets on the parts system. Doesn't actually list what the contents are.

A Head gasket on its own is £35.54 with VAT

You will need the complete gasket set and head gasket, everything you need is in there, just need to buy a cam belt and head bolts then.

personally i'd get it all from Q-E-P (.co.uk), cheaper and still excellent quality parts

No, I will only buy genuine parts now, as went through 4 clutches thats where not and just not worth it

I got all my bits through Carl. I think i saved over £30 from dealer, all genuine stuff too.

Gasket kit is every engine gasket/seal there is apart from the head gasket Yes

Head is off and stripped. Going to get it skimmed on monday and then rebuild. Looking forward to lapping 16 valves in Sad

Gasket looks OK. The head has marks on it from the coolant coming across into the cylinders and too of the exhaust manifold runners are bleached white inside! Crazy

If its the same discount i get for working for Jaguar, it would be cheaper to get it from carl still. Worth asking anyways Thumbs up

Thought I'd revive this thread. can anyone confirm exactly what's in this set?
Is it really all the seals? Crank,stem,cam,manifold,T/stat,water pump,water dis,hockey sticks..........
