If you are having problems starting your car, and have identified that you are not getting any fuel to the fuel rail, there is a good chance that the relay module has died.

This unit is attached to the back of the ecu box in the engine bay, and is held on by a small nut.

To remove this relay:

1. Undo the nut (8 or 10mm)
2. Check that there is not a locking pin across the 2 red pins
3. Pull the red tab out and wiggle the relay loose.

Once removed you can check to see if the relay is faulty by bypassing it. This is done by connecting up a wire to pin 5 and 8 on the wiring loom connector. This should mean that when the ignition is on the fuel pump will constantly be running.

If this proves successful, and you can here the fuel pump run when the ignition is on, you can safely assume that the relay is broken, providing you have not changed anything else at the same time.

To check to see if the relay is working as it should do you can check the resistance across the pins using a multimeter, as described below:

Once you have proved that the relay is faulty, you will need to purchase a new/used one. New ones are around £18 from Peugeot.

Part number is 1920 3N

I accept no responsibility for any damage caused to your cars whilst trying to follow the above instructions
