Fault-finding time:Car has power, new battery, fuel pump primes.... The Starter motor is not seized and will bump start. Going through FAQ http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=168902 Also below the inlet manifold is an unattached cable with a blue connector next to an attached cable/blue connector... Just want to narrow the problem down before taking the car into local garage...new starter motor |

Could be:Crank position sensor. Multi-plugs on front of chassis rail on passenger side. Fuel & spark relay on back of battery box. Inertia switch (red one behind the battery box) You've said you can hear the pump prime, be worth pulling a hose from the fuel rail to check you've got fuel arriving there (if no fuel then fuel filter blocked?)
