It needs a new cooling fan.
I think it is OEM part 1253J2
What is the best replacement for the entire fan and shroud?
Nissens?
NRF?
Any others?

I realise now that the ECiA motors are generally higher 310w vs Gate 200w.I think the 310w versions are for hot countries? My reg brings up the 200w Gate version. Would a 310w rated front fan run the engine too cool in the UK. or is it better to have a higher rated fan? |

fans wont run it too cool, that's the thermostats job, it'll just cool faster.interesting you found it listed as 200w, the parts data doesnt list a power for the ECIA variant, nor is there any specific data to notify which type is fitted where. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Some where in the forum at 'euro gti6' owner discussed the difference between 300w and 200w fans. Apparently the 300w version was for hot countries. And Auto doc lists the NRF for my reg with 200w Gate. |

FYI, I've just fitted the NRF fan and shroud from autodoc and as expected it isn't a direct replacement. When you swap the wiring over to the new one it just about reaches but the connectors on the new fans don't quite fit like original. I haven't fired it up yet but hopefully it all worksEdit: seems to be working fine! |
