I've just looked a the Government website and it just says all petrol Peugeots made after 1st January 2000 are compatible so I assume all GTis are?

The government website is pretty useless to be honest. My GTi6 was made in Nov 1999 yet according to this if one was made two months later (ie Jan 2000) then it would be compatible.

Never use E10. It degrades the fuel lines. Even modern cars are getting more wear due to E10.

Peugeot Netherlands advised me to only put RON98 in my 110 bhp 308 from 2019... E10 was affecting performance and wear to much.

they will be fine, all unleaded fuel has been E5 since the 80's, apart from 2 very short pieces the 306 uses nylon fuel lines ao they will be totally unaffected.

It something that will effect my Camper so will be looking to replace the lines on that with something more suitable/resistant, but dont think it will be a problem with the Rallye.

Does it degrade rubber so might need new injector 'O' rings?

plain rubber yes, nitrile rubber or BunaN is very resistant, not likely that a 306 hasnt got nitrile seals but they are cheap, amd these cars are getting on a bit so its probably worth getting them serviced anuway

random but i thought id mention this, higher octane fuels can cause a gti6 (and othe cars) to misfire/behave badly.

octane isnt a power rating but a pre-detonation resistance rating (higher numbers meaning more resistance to pre-detonation)

Thought that is only the case if the engine does not have a knock sensor…

might of just been the asda fuel and their flavour of addatives...

but adding stuff to reduce explosion chance also means it might not actually ignite or only partially combust under lesser compresion engines (especially 20+ year old pugs)

i meant a 20+ year old engine that started with 10.8-1 might be a little less now after 20+ years of wear.

no disrespect ment Smile
