I don't suppose anyone has a pair of functioning tailgate struts for PH2 Xsara going spare? I have the original part number 8731E3, but that throws up various different lengths on the internet so don't want to end up with the wrong size.

Hi Carl, i'll try and cross ref that OE number at work 2moz for you as we still sell tail gate struts. You need to be careful with these things as just 'cos they look the same, the internal pressure can vary a lot. If you look at the strut there's usually a number on there - something like 250N, this is the pressure or Newton rating and is crucial!

Just at work now, i can't actually cross ref the OE number mate sorry, but if i look by application the coupe seems like they're all the same. Look at your unit, it should have 360N on there some where? Overall length listed as 624 mm. Let me know bud.

Just had a proper look at this again Carl and the part number you need according to our listings is 0823NA - this is a STABILUS part number mate. This number fits hatch/coupe from 2000 - 2004 just make sure that you check the N rating on your original units, they should be 360N, with a length of 624 mm and a stroke of 250 mm. Hope this helps Thumbs up

Thanks for all your help. Yes its 360nm and the overall length is approx 645mm. I agree that they are all listed as 624/625 mm so might just order those
