i've got loads of bits at the powdercoaters at the moment being done for my engine.

could the thermostat housing, and the outlet / take off (metal one for a 205 gti6 conversion) be blasted with steel media and coated or is it too soft? i recall reading you couldn't blast them and best to do them with VHT paint after

same question with the vacuum pump - if i strip it down, will it be ok to blast/coat?

anyone?

Did mine this way. There's some pics on post #117 of my project thread that show the thermostat housing and vacuum pump back on the engine after blasting and a coat of VHT paint.

I blasted mine using 60/80 grit aluminium oxide with no issues
