Hi does anyone know if the phase 1 keypad immobiliser code is stored in the ecu or on the keypad unit itself please?
I.e Can I swap one from another car which I know the code for? Thanks

In the keypad itself. Friend of mine had to pick up a car of which he did not know the number, so he took a keypad from one of his other cars. That worked.

Correct.
Once you got the car running (or green light) unplug the keypad and youll never need to remember the code again.
