HELP!!!!! Trying to change window mechanism as mine stopped working. Attached is a picture of a nos part for mine on the left and my old one on the right, but it doesn't fit. Hits bottom of door when i try to line the top bolt up in the hole. Also the motors are different.
Any ideas as to if the new one is correct for GTI or what the old one is off? I know the car had a new door at sometime😔
Stuck now with no window mechanism fitted Sad

New on left & correct part number, old on right.

There's two makes, I thick Bosch and Valeo.

I went to change mine and found an adapter cable for the different connector but the replacement screwed in okay.

fair chance its the wrong assembly in the bag/box with how long these cars have been out of production, possibly a cab mechanism.

that place used to be called Dean Hunter from memory, originally an oem peugeot parts distributor before peugeot bought it into one massive warehouse.

these days I think they buy up old stock from dealers, so its very possible the packaging got damaged or the label fell off.

306 cab windows are very different, they are frameless for a start! and have a quarter light.

yep that's him, Dean.
The part number on the sealed bag is correct. Genuine peugeot label and part number.
As for the doors being the same i meant all 3 door door skins/internals with full window frame must have the same holes for mech to mount in?Dunno
God knows what is going on with it.Dunno
I'm just off outside to stare at it for another dayUnsure

drop them an email with pics, quite evident its not right.

there were changes in assembly and brands but all the holes were in the same place, plugs changed, late ones were rivetted not bolted.
