Hi James have you put the cups/ rubbers on-top of the damper up the correct way or even the same way on BOTH ?
They will go on either way ???
That makes 15-20mm difference and is a common mistake Thumbs up

Also sit carefully on each wing to compress helps

Thanks Damien, that could be the school boy error I have made! I guess I'll have to strip them down to check! First I'll have to find an image to show me how I should have done it! Lol.

So just found an image that's breaks down the components of the shock and spring set up, which components can you get round the wrong way?? Sorry for the armature question guys. Which numbers relates to the rubbers and cups?

Rod protectors? do you mean dust covers? They are fitted to the B8s on the car.

I think Damien might mean part 4 in the drawing?

Yes it can take some time for the springs to settle.

Do you remember if the rods on both the dampers were the same length. The B6 and B8 rod lengths are different, could one be a B8 and the other a B6?
