Hi everyone! (first post! )

It's time to upgrade my suspension on my PH1 306gti
After reading alot on this forum and finding lots of info on these cars i still have a question...

I'm going to upgrade my suspension and want to do the following:
-Eibach pro kit -30mm with Bilstein shocks
-New oem Partner p-bushes 3523 83
-New oem rear mounts + xsara 21mm TB + 205 bilstein gr-n shocks B46-1038 and maybe a hybrid anti roll bar

Now for my question should i go for the B6 or B8 at the front due to the shorter shaft length?
I also have a Citroen ax gt with a saxo16v engine which used to run the Eibach -30 pro springs an B6 shocks which was great handling wise, but a bit to high. After upgrading the front to AST coilovers with shorter shafts it was rubbisch/s**t!(quality as well>poor top spring holder and leaking after 2500km and 2 times broken spring adjustment rings!)
Because the rebound stroke was so small (jacking the car up 2cm the wheel became airborn!) This was a dangerous drive at bumpy roads with high speeds and resulting in wheel spin! > I don't want this for the 306!

So should i go for the B6 or B8? and how much shorter is the shaft between these 2? I know the damping rate should be equal. My other thinking is to buy the xsara B6 as they run 20/25mm lower and probably have a little shorter shaft then the 306 B6 and therfore less chance of bottoming out the shock? (damping rate also firmer due more weight?)

I'm not looking to have it lowered more then -30mm, i think the Eibach's look just perfect from what i've seen here on the forum!
My only concern is if the B8 has enough "outgoing stroke" so that you don't become airborn as quickly as i had with the ax...
Dustcovers are still okay but i will buy the 206gti 180 bumpstops as i read they are the ones to get!

Okay, i made up my mind and go for the B8's..
Now waiting on my supplier to make me a good price!
Will replace the top mounts(oem) and bearings as well when i install them..
I'm still searching the scrappers for 21mm torsion bars, so if anyone has some> send me a pm

Where are you guys getting B8s? I tried end of 2018 and 2019 and 3 different places said they had stock but couldn't get them from Bilstein!

Anyway, I used B6s with prolines on my old '6 and it was awesome, thing it is a manageable drop for them.

Also shameless plug I have new unused prolines for sale if anyone needs them.

Finally collected all parts and i'll be installing them next week!
I know after reading on here the best setting for the rear is 322mm with the 20mm bars with the eibachs
Could anyone tell me the setting for the 21mm bars? should be less as the bar is stronger

Finally everything is done!
Drives superb! Even better then i expected! Fairly comfortable as well.
The vts steering rack also makes a big difference.
Next thing to do is refurbish my 16" wheels! Here's a pic on 15"

The S16 has the same suspension as the gti or pick by pony's > 120kw/163hp!
I've got the 22-247308 and 22-247315 on the front

Btw> the answer to my own previous question, i've set the rear right height to 318mm (when the bars slide in)
Also depends on how you measure, make sure you check the height as mentioned in the FAQ. I did adjust it one more time the week later because it was to low at the rear and i was dumb enough to think the springs would drop a little more after some use...
