My car was hit on the offside quarter panel by a HGV and I've managed to get a brand new quarter panel off ebay for £200.Would it be best to replace it whole, just replace the bottom half, or just repair the original panel? ________________________________________ S Reg Diablo standardsSpec SORNEDR Reg Nile standard spec written off then repaired X Reg Astor in need of TLC R Reg Nile to restore Set of Lions to fit. |

This is a massive job so hate to think what a body shop would charge. To replace the whole panel means lifting the roof and also the rear of the boot as the panel meets everywhere. I did mine by cutting out a panel and welding in a sizeable repair patch as did not want to get involved in the roof etc |

Effectively butt up (tiny/gap for the weld). Good welder helps so can set low spot avoid blowing holes |

Hope this can be repaired easily (not to costly): Does not have to be a super duper job, just so that it looks okay. Ouch allthough similar to mine which needed a new panel cut in as previous owner went down filler route (lots of filler) but just cracks out |

f**k, what a shame. I guess there will be problems for that bloke going on a track with a rented car. Has to be retarded anyway racing an unknown car. I hope it turns out good for both of you. |

Yep.
