Hey guys,

Woo, another timing belt thread. sorry!

Couldn't find the information i desire anywhere else however...

Its coming up to timing belt time for my Rallye, i am currently running a Dayco 136 Tooth kit, when fitted, me and rich had to do some funky stuff to get the tensioner to fit correctly, so this time i am going OEM and replacing the "screw column" we had to grind down last time... (yes it was a faf... Part number: 082017 for anyone that is curious)

So, on service box, I want the 136 Tooth belt and associated gubbins.

Which looks like Part Number: 83148. That is marked as "Motor Kit" - This matches the KTB165 Dayco kit i am running now.

83148 is £118

However, below that is "Timing Kit" which is listed as part "E118282" (superseded by "E118420"Wink
i am assuming E118282 would be the 136 tooth??? i cant find any information on these part numbers...

E118282 is £181
(EDIT: E118420 is £84?! what...)

However it gets even more complicated, as obviously, i want a water-pump as well!

So the waterpump is listed as a Kit with "E:TIMING KIT +COOLANT PUMP"
Part number 1611898680

This is £214...
again, no information on this part number... no options, so i am assuming this is the 137 Tooth belt??

I found the waterpump separately, and its part number is 1623097980 (Gasket 1206A4)
And that is £73 including the gasket.

Sooo, if anyone is still reading at this point, is my best option to buy 83148, 1623097980 and 1206A4.
That would be the 136 Tooth "MOTOR KIT" and water pump. that comes to £191.

or will i be "missing" something the other part numbers have?? why is the "Timing Kit + coolant pump" £23 more expensive? does it include something i am missing??

am i overthinking this? LOL Dunno

(Also, for anyone that wants to stock up, i did find the Dayco KTB165 kit on amazon for basically nothing.
£33 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dayco-KTB165-Timing-Belt-Kit/dp/B009ZQCBM0 - there is only one left, so might be why its so cheap)

Hi Alex, if it helps the GATES part numbers for the 136 tooth kit are;
Belt kit only = K025468XS
Belt kit including water pump = KP25468XS-2

Both are readily available bud.

cheers

Cheers Guys, Actually popped to Peugeot at lunch, so missed your replies.

Went through it with the parts guy at the desk, and got the "bundle" parts number which is the 136 tooth kit (metal tensioner) that includes the Waterpump. was around £180.

Will grab the part number and put it up here, left the invoice in my car LOL

Apparently a few of the parts numbers have changed/been replaced recently as suppliers have changed, hence some of the weird part numbers. apparently all coming from the same factory tho....
