GTI 6 engine not starting, its turning over that's it. replaced fuel pump relay yesterday and no joy.

Is it the original engine? Found out recently that the ECU has to match the keys when it is a phase 2/3.

Engine, ecu, keys etc is from same car

But is it the original engine or have you swapped it from another car? If so did you swap the transponder also ? If so check if you have spark and fuel

3 doorGTI 6 car everything from it was swapped over

Does the engine management light turn on with ignition? If so, you need to verify if you get spark and fuel as pug_306 already said.
