Hi there

I am new on 306gti6. i signed up because i need help to get my 306 rallye MOT'ed. I bought it with an aftermarked cone airfilter, and no original airfilter box or airfilter.

My local garrage has spend a lot of time tracking an original airfilter box, Peugeot Denmark has informt them, that it is no longer an acceible part, and all carbreakers here have returnt negative answers. Even English friends have tried to contact English car breakers, but so far with no luck.

So is there anybody here who have an idea of where to get my hands on an Original airfilter box?

Best Regards

Lars

Hi again

Unfortunately Ryan had sold his last air filter box, so no luck. He was kind enogh to keep looking for one, but MOT time is closing in. So anyone else who know of the whereabouts of an original air filter box to a 306 Rallye.

Best regards

Lars

Why do you need an original airbox for the MOT?

Seems a bit odd unless there are some specific rules in the Danish MOT around it?

Hi Ben_W

Good question, but aparently its needed to get it MOT'ed, because it was discarded last MOT for not having an original air filter box. I was fortunatly enough to loan one then, wihch i told the MOT man, but he was happy as long as the box was there at the time for MOT. But next time i might not be so lucky.

Best regards

Hi Pug_306

I am most interested, thanks for remembering me.

This box just dont look like the one i loaned. Might be that 306 Rallyes have different Boxes in different countries?

I have tried to upload pictures, but they are to big, for this forum?

Best regareds Lars

Ok I'm guessing a Rallye in your country maybe the same as our xsi models ? Is it 167bhp and 6 speed ?

The previous owner did mention something about it being an import from Germany.

My registration says 163 bhp, and a 6 speed gearbox.

Is there any way i can send you fotos? or other means of clarification?

I read somewhere that there are round airboxes and square ones... however I have never seen a square one.

Some countries do have different air filters depending on climate. I've seen a few listed where there is a choice of 2 and when you look at the details one is listed for a hot dry dusty climate, maybe this could be the difference??

I've seen his engine bay and it's a aftermarket pipe and airbox so he's having a whole airbox kit from me :-)
