Guys,

I've bought a Ph1 98 R plate Xsara VTS which I'll be breaking. It should be being delivered over the weekend and I'll have more info then but it's a completely STD car. It starts, runs, drives, even has MOT until towards the end of September but the shell is knackered as the front suspension turrets are rotten apparently.

I'll say this now - the rack IS NOT available. Im keeping that. Everything else will be available. Ill put some prices, no idea if I'm close but will listen to offers as it all needs to go. Cars not even arrived and I'm getting earache....

Engine with 133k on it - £400
Gearbox - provisionally spoken for
Standard exhaust - provisionally spoken for
Rear beam £200
Front struts/springs £30
Brakes front £50
Brakes rear £25
Hubs £50 pair
Subframe £35
Wheels £50
Driveshafts £30

Not sure if there is anything else of interest/use on the shell. I'll start breaking early next week so will update then but get in touch if there is anything you are after.

Thanks

Cars now arrived. Absolutely standard, even down to the radio.

was the parcel shelf and therefore speakers the same in the xsara as the 306? I may be needing a set of original rear speakers if that's the case.

I don't think so. There were no speakers in the parcel shelf, they were in the rear panels by the back seats.

Hi
I'm after the following parts if they're available:

Pipe that goes from air filter to inlet manifold
The air intake pipe (snorkel) that directs air from the front grille to the air filter
Possibly the N/S driveshaft, if it has ABS?

Engine, gearbox, brakes (front and rear), airbox, cat, wheels all sold.

Rest still available. I will have everything else I want from.the car stripped by the end of the bank holiday and then the car will be going for scrap.

Bits still to come off/left are:

Fuel tank
Fuel pump
Subframe
Hubs
Rear beam
Front struts
Engine loom

Get in touch if you want anything. Don't want much for the bits, shame to see any go to waste

Certainly is bud and the hook mech is free (clearly been looked after this car as it's been greased and I've not had a single snapped bolt or stud!)

Not too fussed about hook and bolt but interested in cage if it's not too crusty. Will take hook and bolt with cage as a complete package if all going to great scrap yard in the sky. Pm me price bud.

Do you also have the wheel brace to undo the spare wheel bolt?

Ok, pretty much done with breaking it now. Unless anyone tells me they are after bits from it, the shells going for scrap as soon as I can arrange it....

Bits that might be of use (and can post at cost if required):

Bosch servo - £15
Bosch front wiper motor (which I'm fairly certain is the same as the 306) - £10
Heater matrix hoses - £10
Front seatbelts - £15 pair
Upper steering column - £10
Fuel pump - £20
Engine wiring loom - £50
Drive shafts - £30 pair
Front sub frame - £20
Front struts & springs - £20
Front wiper arms with what look to be relatively recent Bosch blades - £5
Fuel tank straps - £5

Can't think of anything else.......if unsold it's getting slung in the boot when it goes for scrap!

If it has the same vac pump as the 306, there's a part on the spindle of it that I could do with.

It's in the bottom picture first post of this thread:
http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=160773

I have a spare vac pump but it didn't come with that part on the end of the spindle.

How much to post the air intake snorkel and front wiper arms? (if the springs in the arms are still in good condition)

Carl, probably £5 at most....be a slightly bigger parcel due to the length of the arms.

Did you find out about the driveshaft?

I'll leave the driveshafts as there's conflicting part numbers on various websites. I'll take the snorkel and wiper arms if that's ok? If you accept Paypal, PM me and i'll pay, andI'll give you my postal address. Thanks
