Hi,
No he’s not in charge of HM Army.
I was thinking more in line of what to check when you’ve bought your first Gti6. I have done the timing belt and water pump, drop links, gear linkages and I have new rear discs and pads on order.
My car has fsh and isn’t due a service yet, so is there anything that needs checking that isn’t on a service?

Any benefit from a K&N filter or isn’t it worth bothering?

The standard airbox set up on these is very good.

All that happens with a K&N is you get an open filter, mounted low down. Plenty of risk of sucking in water and hydrolocking the engine. Perhaps less of a risk in Australia but hey. Only benefit, if you can call it one, is a bit more induction noise.
