Hi guys,

what's the correct/best grease to use when rebuilding rear beams? Would it be okay to use MoS2 grease?

Another question: How do you ensure that the carriers of the outer seals sit right on the beam tube i.e. not minimally tilted or pushed on too far? Can you just whack them on to the max?

My beam which I rebuilt not a year ago started to creak on one side. I cannot belive this and I try to find what could have gone wrong before taking everything apart again.

Thanks.

Thanks chap. Yeah, he sure will know but I didn't want to trouble him with that by PM. I will wait a couple of days, as I don't have time for the repair now anyway. Maybe someone will answer here. Smile

I'd probably just use a little CL grease. I don't believe they were greased in the factory beyond the grease that's in the bearings.

MoS2 is probably too thick. The rollers in the rear beam bearings are actually quite small.
