Has anyone fitted a 12v socket in the boot?

Had one in my golf and was perfect for plugging in coolbox etc on days out.

Am sure I've read somewhere that there is a yellow 'live' wire in the loom on one of the rear lights

Cool, good to know. Thumbs up So that is a direct connection to the battery+ through fuse number 26 (Ph2 fusebox)? Do you now the wire gauge and what's its original use?

Great work Cully.

I take it I could buy a 12v socket. Use the yellow live straight to socket. Wire an earth from socket to a bolt in the rear somewhere. Put fuse (what amp?) in No 26 and it should be good to go?
