mine used to squeak where it rests on the C-pillar trims as the surface had become polished, I roughened them up a little with sand paper and this cured it for me.

Clips in the c pillar maybe or could it possibly be the rear wheels out of balance ?

Same for me - I stuck something on there to achieve the same effect.

To see if it is this, try moving the tray around slightly while in place to see if it is rubbing.

I've tried it without the shelf and it doesn't do it, definitely not the tailgate

Rear wheels are fine, I used to have awful front end shake at 75mph+ when i realised they weren't balanced Crazy

I used some stick back foam. Cut a square and stuck it to the under side of of the shelf where it makes contact with the ledge.

I have just had this with mine. As said above a sticky backed foam pad ander the parcel shelf where the hard points meet cured most of the noise. There was still a little noise from the hinges but that was cured with a rub of candle wax
