Hello, I'm after a new radiator but I'm having trouble finding one. I bought one from CMF for £90 but it turned out it was the wrong one. had the 'other' lower hose connector. So I thought I'd try and get a new lower hose to save hassle but Peugeot will only let me buy the lower hose that is for my car. So I have sent the radiator back. So now I am back to square one. Any ideas? I've searched everywhere...

I am back after about 2 years of not using the car, as I was concentrating more on bike track day's etc. But now I want to get the 306 back up and running to do a few car track days as well.

what a knob of a parts man!

try a different dealer.

rads will tend to come with the newer type of hose connection so you'll need a new hose if its a phase1 anyway.

Just spoke to my Nephew and he sent me a couple of pictures of radiators from Euro Car Parts which look like the correct one, so once I'm home I'll double check if they're the same. Hopefully they are, then I'll get one through him.

And yes, he was a knob! Like most of the people that work in there, they're useless!

The nissens ones are decent and also a fair bit lighter than a standard one if that influences your purchasing decision in any way.

My nephew sent me 2 pictures of rads, both had the correct fitment for the hose. 1 was £46 the other was £160!!! Guess which one was the correct one for my car?!? Yep the £160 one. So I'm going to try and get the pipe from a different Peugeot Dealer like you suggested WelshPug.

£46 one was probably for an XSi, so wont have the head exchanger takeoff I think

1351ZV is the last version and cheapest.

Yeah, I think you're right as there was an extra pipe coming out of the radiator. Thanks

Is that for the correct Radiator? Or is that for the newer Radiator to which I also need the hose?

you wont get a direct fit for an early car, only the later type.
