Anyone happen to know the vacuum pipe size? To try and eliminate my issues I want to replace all the hose with newer stuff but am not going down to the car for a few weeks

which bit?

rare that they give any issues, most of it is a metal or hard plastic pipe and some pretty sturdy vac hose each end, its the plastic bit each end that people break are the weak points.

Well I broke the plastic t-piece anyway so need to replace that.

I have my pipes running a different way due to the bodies. The t-piece is much closer to servo with a long pipe running over the top of the engine from the vac pump and another, shorter bit from the inlet vacuum take off. I wondered if any of them were degraded and figured it must be cheap enough to get spare pipe and replace anyway?

you dont need the bit off the inlet, keep the pump and youll have less chance of vacuum leaks and more consistent brake assistance, bung the bit from the bulkhead straight on the pump.

no need for it on a gti6 engine due to the vacuum pump.

is it welded in or a brass takeoff? id either find a rubber bung or a screw in thing.
