So i have a strange miss fire at 4k.

Regardless of temp
Regardless of load/gear
Regardless of speed
Regardless of boost level
Ive tried a new coil unit made no difference
Tried a new map sensor made no difference
Tried new plugs no difference
Tried a tps no difference

So any ideas??

Is the lambda giving the right readings?

Does it go away higher up the revs?

Literally only 4k. Clean before and clean after. The plugs look great and we couldnt fix it on the dyno either. Its like it just cba at 4k

Is it also missing while accelerating full chat and passing 4K or only when holding it at 4K? Does it miss on part throttle while passing 4K?

Misses at 4k whilst driving at any throttle position but is perfectly clear before and after and will rev freely in neutral

A dodgy crank or cam position sensor that gives false readings at around 4k would be plausible. Also check the loom and plugs of those sensors. Could be that right at that revs some interference occurs in the signal path. Can you read live sensor data? Has the fault developed or has it always been there in this config?

No nock sensor

Ill plug my laptop in and see but when it was on the dyno it pointed at a coil issue. However ive swapped the coil for a new one which made it worse.
The plugs are new and have been gapped

ohhh I see, yeah they were buggers for misfires even if they looked fine, have you trimmed the cam cover back to allow the heat to escape? or is it modified onto a gti6 head?
