Hi gents have a fuel gauge issue it wont drop down past just under the quater even when its empty its not the fuel pump its self as ive just changed it (yes it was like it before the change )
How do i fix this little issue

Have you got a spare set of clocks you could put in to see if the problem is there?

No unfortunately not am after what it could be all ideas really so i can go through an eliminate etc

So you think it could just be the clock ?? Gauge !

I had a fuel gauge issue ages ago and it turned out to be the clocks, put another set in and it just worked. Just wanted to let you know it was a problem I had had in case you hadn't thought about it Smile

Anyone know the specs for the voltage on the fuel level sensor wire?

You could check that with a multimeter at the clocks?

Swap the clocks over with your other one easily done without removing steering wheel :-)

Can the fuel gauge be removed individually or is it a clock change dash thing
I would like to keep my original dash etc

fuel gauge is a motor soldered to the main dash clocks PCB all the relevant electronics are on the main PCB too

have you messed with the needles on the clocks? have you pushed them on to far scrapping the backplate

No not been in there will get it open and see if i can spot anything worst comes to worse ill re soldier a new motor cheers cully

Probably needs a clean or a dryjoint has occurred
