Phil will this coating last on its own? I could paint over it for more protection but it does look good.

It does generally last a few years before it furs over slightly (~100 hour salt spray test as per ASTM B117) and loses a bit of colour, although the zinc underlayer will protect the steel long after.
I haven't had time to do any more, but will try for a couple if I can before the rest go for plating.

Whats the deal with fitting these guys? I read somewhere that to get a lower brace on a 306 mods are needed to the sump and a couple of brackets, is this true or does it just bolt straight on?

This one is a direct bolt on. The OMP ones are the ones that don't clear the sump.

With a decent prep they can stove enamel over the yellow chromate and then they'll probably outlast the car LOL

Thanks for the response. I'll probably just give it a coating of lacquer, as that has worked well for me in the past.

Platers are flat out at the minute anyway so might still be able to drop extra's in over the weekend if we're lucky.

I can do a custom one, what's it for?

I think given the amount still wanting one I'd better make another full batch of 10 up and take them too for plating Doh
