Anyone on here using nyloc hub nuts rather than a castle nut and split pin?

If so do they hold up to the job fine and where did you get them from?

Seen them advertised a few places but first hand reviews always help.

yes, Garry has them on his car, they'll be the same for yours.

I think Tom Fenton on the 205 forum has some, places like AB charge loads for them!

So are they a specific nut, or without sounding too cowboy, will any m24x1.5 nyloc nut do the business?

its a faff when you want to change a shaft quickly in service and get back out without any time penalties.

Sorry, I don't get it. I'm no native speaker. Can you reformulate your sentence please? Smile

The only issue I had was the socket size. 35 mm is not common and I could not get it in any local store. I helped myself with a 36 spanner and lined it with pieces of a 0.5 feeler gauge in three places. Best tip ever!

35mm is very common, probably on 99% of psa vehicles on the road.

Nyloc type nuts are used to speed up service time on stage rallies

Down side is a nylon lock nut "should" be one time use only
