I know Im a retard at the best of times and ive looked at the guide lots of times but

How on earth do the two pipes for the heater matrix pull through bulkhead?

There is a kind of rubber mat material around the two pipes on the exterior bulkhead side and the matrix pipe has a lug on it that is preventing me pulling the unit through?

I dont want to break it by ragging it throughNo

I think I had to pull the rubber grommet through with the matrix, then remove the grommet from the matrix.

Getting it back in was the worst part.

ok, yes im a fecking retard!
I literally pulled and pulled and pulled on the heater unit until the top section of the matrix unit detached from the input pipes and snapped the fitting on the heater, leaving the two bulkhead pipes sitting in the bulkhead laughing at me and pouring coolant everywhere!
I even put gloves on for more purchase but hey!

Is there a proper way of getting these f**king things out from the bulkhead and more importantly , getting them back in again!

Thanks in advance

Try using a flat head screw driver and try removing the rubber from the bulkhead.

Its just rubber and should pull through easily from the inside, its the refitting you should worry about, that's 100 times worse.

Are ph2 and ph3 heater/aircon units the same? ie connections and pipes?
