Hi all,

Quick one...

Due to my lack of cage i'm still running seatbelts with my buckets (crap i know)

I had a spin about 6 months ago on track and one of the pre-tensioners went off....anyway, they were never really fitted as well as i'd like, so i've sourced some other pre-tensioners (from a ford) that have floor mounted brackets rather than seat...

Anyway, loom from the car has 2 orange wires as i'm sure you are aware, these ford pretentioners have the same, but obviously different plugs...

If i were to connect these using bullet connectors or similar, does anyone know if the the pre-tensioners are sensitive to polarity, and/or work in any way differently to the Ford ones?

(just need to ensure they dont go bang the minute i connect them, and they work....)

Cheers

Chris

I'm not sure but does the airbag ecu not need replaced if it's been triggered.

airbag ecu may need resetting with planet or it may need replacing

the peugeot pre-tensioners are not polarity sensitive

you may be able to just plug in and it all resets

the ford pre-tensioners may be of a different resistance so the pug ecu may think they are missing sill

what ford were they out of?

Generally if the ecu has triggered then it would need replacing as they often have resistors inside which blow when everything deploys so it can't be used again.

But if the airbags didn't go off then I'm not sure.

I have the ecu from a Rallye which would have had one air bag plus the seatbelts, don't know if the connectors are the same though.
You can have it if you cover the postage if you find out if its any good to you.

That's the plan, just can't justify that right now considering its currently having a Richw flywheel, clutch, cambelt, brake pads, brake overhaul and all sorts of other bits done Smile

I could

a) just run the belts without pretensioners
Cool run harnesses without a cage
C) get all the bits as discussed...
