Have acquired a set of EVO front Brembos and brackets and was wondering if anyone knew which discs are typically used with these??

It's not a conversion I've heard of. But I'm thinking it'll be custom bells and quite big rotors.

Depends on what you call 'decent'. Besides, I have cars running 15, 16, 17, 18 and 22" wheels so tyres for the Pug tend not to raise any eyebrows in the grand scheme of things....Smile

Right... not everyone wants track tires fitted to a road car do they. Some of us use our car as a daily and actually want a tire that will always give excellent grip. Even in the wet, without having to warm them up. For most scenarios PS3's are more than adequate. They have served me well at Prescott Hill where my standard engined car was running quicker times than tuned up cars running better suspension and track tires. They also performed brilliant at brands hatch where they had plenty of grip and didn't overheat. So, in summery I feel you would have to spend much more money to find better road tires for a road car.

Over the 18 years of me driving, many. And as far as road tires go, PS3's are better than the rest. What do you run? I'm guessing its tires that are not suited to 15k a year without breaking the bank.

I use 330 Ashs bells & Rotors with Brembo v6 calipers & Ferodo Ds1.11 pads front & Ds 3000 rears with bias valve & Castrol brake fluid that costs £35 litre ish ....can't imagine wanting better brake than I've got ....they pull your face off & I can out brake anything I've come across YET Thumbs up

I think tyres are one of the biggest increases in handling/,stopping for me ...
With nearly 300bhp N/A now it's even more important & difficult to get good grip .....
Can't fault my tyres but I don't use mine as a daily but do drive to & from Trackdays & actiondays

I use V70 Supersofts for Prescott & wets at Combe give unreal grip ...

I use Dunlop DZO3G Med everywhere else ...best I've tried

Good-luck with finding Discs for the calipers Scott

Thanks Damien!

Current thinking is to get a set of EVO discs and some new pads. I can have the PCD modified on the discs easily and then it'll just be a case of spacing calipers inboard/outboard to suit.
That is, as long as the EVO disc offset is suitable (need to check this). If that fails, it's back to the Tarox site that has all the disc specs for nearly all manufacturers to see what else has the same dia/width discs with different offsets.

Failing THAT, I'll just buy some rotors and get some bells mad up to suit!!

tarox are bloody expensive.

if you do want to use them get in touch with godspeed brakes.

you can't go very much further inboard as youll hit the lower balljoint and the steering arm

OK, so I eventually managed to sort this out...

Went with the corresponding EVO IV-IX 320mm discs. I developed some mounting brackets and mocked it all up on a spare set of hubs and voila.......EVO brembo's on a 306.

Slight issue initially with contact between disc and lower balljoint. A bit of 'processing' later and issue resolved Smile.

Very happy with results.

Thanks Damien!!

Glad I decided to take time out to give the calipers a complete refurb. Unfortunately, during mock ups etc, some of the yellow paint was scuffed/knocked and doesn't look as good as it did when freshly painted.
The pedal's slightly longer but there's no mistaking that there's a LOT of extra bite!!
