I have taken ownership of a phase 2.5 shell to re-shell my phase 3 rusty old battered 6.
The interior is missing apart from the dash and the wiring loom has been cut in many places, including both sides of the dash.
I have the loom that's been cut and can obviously re solder it together ( i understand the future complications of that task) but I wanted to know what kind of job it is to remove my wiring loom complete from the phase 3 car and drop it whole into the 2.5.
The fuse box looks completely different in both and I also wondered if I could leave the engine bay loom in and still hope to connect it all together and tun the key and everything works?

Im guessing, I need to fully pull out my phase 3 loom for the reshell to work properly but im hoping someone might have time saving advice for meThumbs up

Thanks

Phase 2.5 engine loom is same as phase 3 iirc ?

Think the dash loom is the same also as they both use the later 2 plugs on the transponder ?

depends how late the 2.5 is, like Ryan said, it might already have the integrated 2 plug RF type central locking/alarm control unit and transponder.

Found a little box under the ph3 drivers side carpet which the ph2. 5 doesn't have.
Guess it's full loom swap out!

Does the ph3 wiring loom split anywhere around the fuse box before it goes to the engine bay.?

there is a large square plug on the bulkhead under the windscreen wiper-motor which splits the front engine loom

Thank you , that helps my re shell thought process massively!
Unpick all the loom from the shell, from the parcel shelf speaker connection to the larger square plug you just mentioned , then refit it all into my new shell, then new interior in , then work on engine bay and loom..
Cheers
