Hi all,

I'm going to be doing a fair bit of work on my car in the coming weeks and I was wondering where the common places these engine leak oil from?

I'll be replacing the cam seals and OS crank seal when replacing the cam belt and I'll be replacing the NS crank oil seal when replace the clutch with the gearbox seals (input shaft, and drive shaft seals).

Is there any other seals I should get before commencing work?

There seems to be a drip of oil from the power steering pipe that runs under the car are these normally a weak spot?

I think the previous owner said that he replaced the cam cover gasket so hopefully that should be good but I'll check it, thanks.

Ooh, I didn't even think of those.

Doesn't the sump have to come off to change them?

a pain yes but it is doable
maybe wait till the clutch is being done as you will disturb the crank seal behind the flywheel too

Planning on doing the clutch this weekend with the crank oil seal and "hockey stick" seals.

What RTV sealant would you guys recommend on refitting the sump?
